- It is data collected from a sale/purchase
- includes personal info, details of items purchased, purchase price, date/time of purchase, delivery tracking data

- organisations can keep track of all purchases, spot trends (best selling)
- customers & organisations can track the delivery process (timely manner?)
- organisations can identify customer habits & interests to target marketing (home pages, altered to show recommended products for customer)
Negatives:
- transactional data stored online can be hacked
- use of transactional data can lead to privacy concerns (customised page based on previous transaction = embarassing?)
What is Targeted Marketing?
- advertising products to customers who are most likely to buy it

- web pages can be customised based on previous purchases, browsing history, profile info
- social media sites use profile data
- search engine ad uses your search terms
Negatives:
- can = impulse purchases, not affordable
- use of transactional data can lead to privacy concerns (customised page based on previous transaction = embarassing?)
What is Collaborative Working?
- many people can work together in real-time over internet ( cloud computing, video conference)

Features:
- employees can work together from different locations
- cloud computing/storage = easily share work from home
- meetings held without wasting time & money on travel meaning better efficiency & more flexibility
Negatives:
- restrictions need to be in place with sharing documents online (version control, remains multiple versions of document when changes are made)
- security concern, data hacked/misused e.g stealing/sharing/altering
- worse/no internet connection means less/no productivity
