  • Date and onset of symptoms
  • Assess severity of breathing difficulty - Is he working harder to breathe?
    • Breathing fast
    • Drawing-in of the chest
    • Nasal flaring
    • Grunting
    • Apnoea/pausing
    • Feeding Hx
    • Behaviour (irritable/lethargic/drowsy)
  • Associated symptoms
    • Fever
    • Runny nose
    • Cough (simple/productive)
    • Stridor
    • Wheeze
    • Choking
  • Contact history/travel
  • PMH
    • Allergies
  • FHx
