meet strict DVLA criteria -
1) No severe hypoglycaemic event in the previous 12 months
2) full hypoglycaemic awareness
3) the driver must show adequate control of the condition by regular blood glucose monitoring*, at least twice daily and at times relevant to driving
4) there are no other debarring complications of diabetes
