What happens if you isolate the MRPIC?
- splits air making bottom half of the system from the distribution side
- assuming MRPCC aren’t isolated, other trains will still feed the CABS
- only necessary if a leak has developed on the production side
What happens if you isolate the ASRIC + ASICs
Once you operate the 3 surge tank drain cocks then you will have isolated the air suspension system
What happens if you isolate the CGIC?
air will build up within the system and main air will be expelled through the safety valve at 8.3 bar
What happens if you isolate the BSRIC?
- air will no longer be supplied to the brake supply reservoir
- though this may not be immediately apparent, this will eventually result in losing the brakes
What happens if you isolate the MRPFIC?
Air will no longer be able to supply the CABS if supply is being relied upon from other coaches, ie, production side is already isolated
What happens if you isolate the BCIC?
Brakes are no longer working on that coach
