A

-moisture
-use warm water and limit bath time

What is Atopic Dermatitis

A

-starts in childhood, often gets milder or goes away by adulthood
-triad (dermatitis, asthma & hay fever)

Signs:
•rash often forms in the creases of your elbows or knees
•skin on areas of rash turns lighter or darker or thicker
•small bumps may appear and leak fluid if scratched

Factors:
•genes
•dry skin
•immune system problem
•environment

What is contact dermatitis ?

A

-Types:
•allergic contact dermatitis (immune system reaction to an irritant like latex or metal)
•irritant contact dermatitis (when chemical or other substance that irritates skin)

-symptoms:
•itch, red, burns, stings
•itchy bumps / hives
•fluid-filled blisters that may crust over
-skin may thicken

•Fluid-filled blisters form on your fingers, toes, palms and soles of your feet
•Itch

Nummular = coin in Latin
Looks very different from other types

Symptoms:
