Fibric acid derivatives/Fibrates
1st-line hypertriglyceridemia
Fibric acid derivatives/Fibrates
Do not take with statins (rhabdomyolysis)
Fibric acid derivatives/Fibrates
Most effective in increasing HDL levels
Nicotinic acid
Toxic effect of Nicotinic acid
Erythema/Flushing
Treatment of Nicotinic acid toxicity (flushing/Erythema)
ASA, Ibuprofen
1st line hypercholesterolemia
HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors
May result in the malabsorption of Vitamins ADEK and may also cause steatorrhea
Bile acid sequestrants (3C)
