- 1 mg daily; can take at least 3 months to see an effect
- must be used indefinitely or condition reappears
-Do not dispense to pts taking Proscar for BPH
-CI: pregnancy
-warning: hazardous drug for females of childbearing potential

Proscar**
- 5-alpha reductase type 2 inhibitor approved for BPH**
