Block parasympathetic nervous system actions on muscurinic receptors, stopping bronchial constriction
What are indications of B2 receptor agonists?
Asthma
COPD
What are indications for anti-muscurinics?
Chronic asthma (stage 4)
COPD (symptomatic relief)
SHOULD NOT BE USED ALONE
What do xanthines do?
Cause bronchodilation
How is theophylline administered?
Oral
How is aminophylline administered?
Slow IV infusion
