Q

Caffeine affecting heart rate of Daphnia practical

A

Caffeine affecting heart rate of Daphnia practical
IV: concentration of caffeine solution (0.5% or if using testing range of concentrations 0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8,1)
DV:daphnia heart rate measured using a clicker (can see under light microscope) (measure for 1min)
CV: age of Daphnia, size of Daphnia (measured in um under microscope), temperature 20degrees with thermometer. Time to acclimatise (5 mins)using a timer, volume of solution (3cmcubed)
Control: focus on Daphnia in water and measure heart rate with clicker (do this for 1min) repeat this 5 times for mean
Repeat 5 more times and calculate a mean heart rate
