Binds with both alpha and beta receptors to produce increased blood pressure, heart rate, and bronchodialation

Tachycardia, anxiety, headache, hypertension, nervousness, tremours, chest pain, nausea/vomiting

Pregnancy class C, half life 1 min

Adult Dosages
Cardiac arrest- 1 mg iv/io every 3 to 5 min
Bradycardia- 2-10 mcg/min drip
Asthma/anaphylaxis- 0.3 - 0.5 mg sq/im MAX dose is 1 mg
Anaphylactic SHOCK- .3-.5 mg iv push

Cardiac arrest- 0.01 mg/kg iv/io every 3-5 min
Bradycardia- 0.01 mg/kg
Asthma/anaphylaxis- 0.3-0.5 mg sq max dose 0.3 ml
Anaphylactic shock- 0.01 mg/kg im

Cushings syndrome, use with caution in active infection, renal disease, penetrating spinal cord injury, hypertension, seizures, CHF

Pregnancy class C, not effective in time of spinal cord injury is greater than 8 hours.
