RANGE HEURISTICS 9.20.16 UPDATED 2021
CARD 2.
I like this backwards C for visual on DS!
For now use 3/4 swing all clubs. Think stacked left makes every shot a long solid hit. Works like magic!
Drives good! Use 3/4 swing concentrate stacked left.
Right arm: When I was concentrating on the stacked left pivot, I lead with the grip towards the ball and it worked, wonderful timing. The leading grip was not like a straight line, it was like a backwards “C” curve landing the plane on the ball nice and solid.
For right now, just concentrate backyard drills on the transition timed with the grip leading backwards “C” curve plane landing into the ball. Works like magic.
Range Hueristics 11/21/16. UPDATED 2021
- Today I learned HT really turn the club into a good release. I mean take a mock swing to make certain you are turning your gloved hand completely under your right hand.
I learned the release is really a big turn so that the gloved hand is on the bottom bowed at impact, and the Right hand is holding the bookrest and using that bookrest as an auxillary support to hit the ball. This prevents my tail slice on long irons and driver. Finally a fix! Also it doubles the power to send the ball far, far straight down the fairway. Probably a good 30% farther than an impact using mainly the gloved hand. This fixes my tail slice drives and 5 hybrid shots.

Wedges. There are a few things to get correct on wedges. Number one mistake is to back off on your wedge shot on the way down to impact. You accelerate more, never back off. This causes shanks and worst!
- Hold stiff/extended arm triangle throughout entire shot.
- Accelerate into ball with the stiff/extended arm triangle.
- Brush the ground with 2 or 3 practice shots, then hold that posture and hit your ball. Just extend a bit more over to the ball to make your shot. If you lose your posture, then your setup is ruined.
- Have left foot turned toward target 45 degrees.
- Do the Golf Loopy pitch procedure with starting weight on left, then BS and straighten left leg so you can pivot on it.
