Mechanical Shutter
Mechanical 1st and Mechanical 2nd,
1/200 flash sync,
vibration
Electronic 1st Curtain
Electronic 1st, Mechanical 2nd,
1/250 flash sync.
Best Default option.
Electronic Shutter
Electronic 1st, Electronic 2nd,
1/180 flash sync.
Do not leave in default.
BUFFER in FULL ELECTRONIC
150-RAW,
540-JPEG with CFExpress-B.
BUFFER in 1st ELEC/MECHANICAL
1000+ with CFExpress-B
How to change DRIVE MODE
(Press Drive.AF button on top, left, front and use Quick Control-1 to change mode) or you can use the M-Fn button to left of shutter and main dial.
List the 7 DRIVE MODES
- SINGLE SHOOTING
- LOW SPEED CONTINUOUS
- HIGH SPEED CONTINUOUS
- HIGH SPEED CONTINUOUS +
- CUSTOM HIGH SPEED CONTINUOUS
- SELF TIMER 10-SEC
- SELF TIMER 2-SEC
SINGLE SHOOTING drive mode
basic photos, one shot at a time.
LOW SPEED CONTINUOUS drive mode
One press takes 3-shots each time regardless of shutter mode.
HIGH SPEED CONTINUOUS drive mode
Mech=6,
Elec-1st Curt=8,
Elec=15
HIGH SPEED CONTINUOUS + drive mode
Mech=12,
Elec-1st Curt=12,
Elec=30.
May vary based on other settings.
CUSTOM HIGH SPEED CONTINUOUS drive mode
30-195 FPS (2-50 frames).
This must be turned on.
Custom Function-3 and Restrict Drive Modes.
SELF TIMER 10-SEC drive mode
set a timer for 10 seconds
SELF TIMER 2-SEC drive mode
set a timer for 2 seconds
