P (camera set Aperture and Shutter Speed),
ISO=Auto,
EXP COMP=0,
AWB=Auto,
AF Operation=1-shot,
Focus Area=Whole Area AF or subject tracking,
Drive = Single.
LANDSCAPE
Manual mode,
first set ISO=100,
Aperture=11,
Shutter Speed=30 (non moving/tripod),
EXP COMP=no need to set,
AWB=Auto,
AF Operation=1-shot,
Focus Area= 1-point AF,
Drive = Single.
PORTRAIT
Manual Mode,
set ISO=100 or can bump up,
Aperture=2.8,
Shutter Speed=125,
EXP COMP=no need to set,
AWB=Auto,
AF Operation=1-shot,
Focus Area= 1-point AF,
Drive = Single.
Servo Mode + Subject Tracking can be used for moving subject.
ACTION PHOTOGRAPHY
Manual Mode,
ISO=400 to 6400 (indoor),
Aperture=2.8,
Shutter Speed=500,
EXP COMP=no need to set,
AWB=Auto,
AF Operation=SERVO,
Focus Area= Zone AF-1 or Subject Tracking,
Drive = High Speed Continuous.

SHUTTER AT LOCKDOWN
Turn on this feature so it closes the shutter when changing lens.
SetUpMenu-4, Shutter At Shutdown
BACK BUTTON FOCUSING
Can turn on in CustomMenu.
Instead of half press the shutter to focus, you can press the AF ON button to focus.
My 8 steps to AUTOFOCUS properly
- REGISTER people’s face in the AF menu-5 by taking a picture of them.
- SET EXPOSURE.
- Use AF-ON or Joystick to put focus frame on target.
- Focus with shutter button on target (half press shutter button).
- Press Multi-Function-2 tracking button (front of camera and top – next to lens).
- Press Exposure Lock button astrek (*).
- Reframe shot for composition (correct part of frame).
- Take the shot.
