A
A 2D drawing which shows different views/sides of an object

How would you identify an orthographic drawing?
A
- includes dimensions
- drawn in 3rd angle projection
- Usually 3 related views: elevation, end-elevation, plan
- includes line types
- title block

What is a section drawing?
A
Can be a 2D drawing or an isometric section which shows an object which has been cut

How would a section drawing be identified?
A
- hatching lines to show solid material
- hatching going in 2 different directions
- shows hidden details such as holes and wall thickness
- hatched lines at 45°
- cutting plane through 1 view to indicate where section is to be drawn from
