This year i studied curious incident by simon stephens. the play follows christopher boone going through challenging moments with his family. in this essay i’ll detail how various themes and issues are shown during the key moments of the play and explain how i’d direct them

A - Loss part 1 when Christopher sitting over Wellington Shears comes out and says “What in fuck’s name have you done to my dog?” shows theme as Shears reacts shocked and sad to her dead dog.
A1 - In addition to above this scene kicks off whole play and we see how Wellingtons death affects Chris and everyone else as the play continues
B - Acting concepts when Shears questioning what happened, she would have loud volume, accusing tone, open bod lang by going on her toes and neck up high and pointing towards Christopher. Christopher - closed bod lang low posture, head down looking at Wellington
B1 - audience feel sad for Shears and Wellington bc Shears seen her dead dog and Christopher looks like the one to blame for it
