1- adults live in small intestine
2- gravid sgments seperate from strobila in 2 or 3 groups
3-egg and capsules are ingested by dog flea larva belonging to genra PULEX AND CTENOCEPHALIDES
4-egg hatches to onchospere to cyticercoid larva
5-man is infected by ingesting food contaminated with adult flea ( arthropods) contaminated with cysticercoid larva
6-cyticercoid larva becomes adult in small intestine without penetration in 20 days and lay eggs
