Q

Explain the Concept of RF value: Give examples.

A

An RF Value is a measure of a component’s position in a chromatographic separation. It is calculated by dividing the distance the component travels by the distance the solvent travelled.
Let’s say the component was 9CM high and the Solvent was 15CM high, we would divide 9 by 15. 0.6
