Formerly known as multiple personality disorder. Presence of 2 or more distinct identities or personality states. More common in women. Associated with a history of sexual abuse.
Dissociative ID Disorder
Persistent feelings of detachment or estrangement from one’s own body, a social situation, or the environment
Depersonalization Disorder
Abrupt change in geographic location with inability to recall the past, confusion about personal identity, or assumption of a new identity. Associated with traumatic circumstances (e.g. natural disasters, wartime, trauma). Leads to significant distress or impairment. NOT the result of substance abuse or general medical condition.
Dissociative fugue
Abnormal range of moods or internal emotional states and loss of control over then. Severity of moods causes distress and impairment in social and occupational functioning. Psychotic features may be present.
Mood disorders
Bipolar, MDD, Dysthymic Disorder, and Cyclothymic Disorders are ALL considered ________ disorders.
