Young dark-skinned woman who smokes, with photosensitive lesions on face, ears, and scalp. Lesions are inflamed, dry, erythematous, patchy, and crusty?

Scarring alopecia and hyper/hypopigmented scars.
What can discoid lupus erythematosus increase your risk of developing?
- Systemic lupus erythematosus (<5%)

Skin biopsy
What is the management of discoid lupus erythematosus?
Sun protection, topical steroids, intralesional injections, hydroxychloroquine.
