Q

Describe Two Tiered Triage-

A

minimum of 2 triage nurses. First nurse gives rapid assessment immediately, and higher acuity patients move directly to the department. For patients without life threatening conditions, the second triage nurse performs a more comprehensive assessment in the triage area. This form of triage takes the place of a nonclinical greeter then nurse process, but keep the advantage of being able to handle a large influx of patients.
