-Heart Failure
- Atrial Fibrillation and atrial flutter ( slows ventricular rate)
- Paroxysmal atrial tachycardia

Digoxin education ?
A
- take exactly as prescribed
- teach how to take apical pulse
- if pulse falls below 60 BPM notify provider
- keep in original bottle as it looks similar to other meds
- Take missed dose if you remember within 12 hours
- carry medical ID card with you

A
- heart block
- Arrhythmia
- Electrolyte imbalances
- NVD
- confusion
- Color halos/ blurred vision
- syncope

A
- Increases force and velocity of myocardial contraction
- produces antyarythmic affects by decreasing the conduction rate and increasing the effectiveness
- refractory period of AV node

A
-Initial 10-15mcg /kg
- maintenance 3.4-5.1 mcg/kg

A
- Hypersensitivities to meds and components
- Uncontrolled Ventricular fibrillation and tachycardia ( Unless heart failure occurs related to digoxin therapies)
- Heart block
