Used to build cell membranes and can be stored for future energy Satuated- solid at room temp like butter Unsaturated- liquid at room temp like Oil Saturated fat can cause heart disease Ex avocados bacon margarine
Vitamins and minerals
Needed by body in small amounts to perform diff body functions
Ex for mineral is calcium to build strong bone
An example for vitamin is vitamin d also build stronger bones
