The part of the digestive system that absorbs water and electrolytes, and compacts waste for excretion.
Salivary Gland
Glands in the mouth that produce saliva to aid in digestion and keep the mouth moist.
Duodenum
The first section of the small intestine, where most chemical digestion occurs, receiving bile and pancreatic juices.
Gallbladder
A small organ that stores and concentrates bile produced by the liver, releasing it into the small intestine to aid digestion.
Stomach
A muscular organ that mixes food with gastric juices, breaking it down into a semi-liquid form for further digestion.
