Q

Background of witches

A
  • witches were said to arise from humans having sex with demons so, Macbeth becomes obsessed with the amount of power he is gaining and in a way, he seems to become seduced by the idea of getting possessed as long as he gets what he wants, this then leads to mental illnesses as he ‘hallucinates’
  • Banquo, however, is loyal to king Duncan and is a proud follower of God, even though he interacted with the witches, he chooses to try and stay away from these prophecies whereas Macbeth was warped right into it
