  • reassuring is something a woman would do so it is weird as she wanted to abandon anything woman like as it interfere with ‘her plans’

-scorpions represent Macbeth’s uneasiness and his dark desire to murder Fleance and Banquo however the knowledge that they both are still alive fills him with anxiety so he cannot rest easy

  • essentially telling LM that it’s best if she doesn’t know what he is planning concerning Banquo and Fleance
  • he is now taking control and being a ‘man’
  • dearest chuck is a term of endearment
