components of a formulation?
A
predisposing factors (areas of vulnerability which increase risk - genetics etc) precipitating factors (stressors or other events related to current symptoms (identity conflicts, trauma leading to flashbacks etc) perpetuating factors (any conditions in the patients, family or community that exacerbate rather than solve the problem - e.g relationship problems, lack of education, financial stress etc) protective factors (patients own areas of competency, skill, talent, supportive elements - counteract the other 3)
