What is glucogon?
Hormone produced by the pancreas that breaks glycogen to glucose in the liver

Measure of glycemic control
How does VI correlate with diabetes?
14% working adults with VI have DM 5% of Leading cause of preventable sight loss is attributed to DM eye disease 50% T1 + 25% T2= Retinopathy 1.5x increased glaucoma risk Doubles risk of Cataracts
What is the main factor for increasing incidence?
Rising obesity

However obese women are 13x likely to develop DM

Glyceimia

Ethnicity- South asian

Duration of DM- T1 90% c DR >20yrs
