Excess: Complacency, Swelling, high blood pleasure, heavy menses; breast milk
Deficiency: Dissatisfaction, scanty menses, breast milk, dry skin
RAKTA Dhatu
POSYA DHATU: Red blood cells
UPADHATUS: blood vassels, ligaments
MALAS: Pitta, Bile
Location: Circulatory system (liver, spleen)
Psychology: Invigoration
Excess: Aggressiveness (+Pitta), enlarge liver + spleen, heated skin diseases, artherosclerosis (fat plaquettes).
Deficiency: Loss of motivation, anemia, pale, arteriosclerosis (thick arteries).
MAMSA Dhatu
POSYA DHATU: Muscle
UPADHATUS: Ligaments, skin
MALAS: Cavity waste, earwax, and navel secretions
Location: Muscular system
Psychology: Self-confidence, protection
Excess: Thick skin, stiffness, muscle swelling, tumors, overly confident
Deficiency: Low self-esteem, fear, worry, loose ligaments, thin skin
MEDA Dhatu
POSYA DHATU: Fat
UPADHATUS: Omentum, peritoneoum
MALAS: Sweat
Location: Adipose system
Psychology: Able to give and receive love
Excess: excessive sweetness, oily skin, naive, obsessive
Deficiency: Emaciation (weak) dry skin + hair, dry cracking skin, joints, low body weight

POSYA DHATU: Bones
UPADHATUS: Teeth
MALAS: Hair, nails
Location: Skeletal system
Psychology: Stature, ability to stand tall
Excess: Bone spurs, osteoblastic, bone cancer, arthritis
Deficiency: Osteoporosis, frágil nails, scanty hair, crooked teeth, bone cancer

MALAS: Tears and eye secretions
