Means accepting the norms of other cultures all in one country

Means incorporting other cultures into a country’s norm

AS was seen as low in pro diversity and and MC was as high in prodiversity, therfore AS links more with prejudice attitudes.
Germany has the lowest levels of norms relating to MC. Suggests cultural factors are linked with prejudice

That prejudice depends on the social context. e.g. the miners underground were more friendly towards black citizens than those above ground

What is a collectivist culture?
Place emphasis on the needs of a group rather than an individual
What is an individualist culture?
Cultures that tend to emphasise the private individual and the priority of personal over collective needs
How does Al-Zahrani and Kaplowitz support the idea of collectiveness and individualist countiries?
That Saudies to self report more in group favourtism and negtive out group bias
Do different cultures have different personalites?
No because personality dimensions are not likely to differ between countries if they have been said to be stable and enduring characterisitcs in general
