Q

Explain 1st half of the method (prepping potato):

A
  1. Label six boiling tubes with 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1 M
  2. Put 30cm3 distilled water in first tube + same amount of salt solution in rest of tubes. Put a stopper on tube
  3. Use cork borer + scalpel to prep 6 potato cylinders of 50mm long
  4. Blot each cylinder dry

Q

Explain 2nd half of method: (experimenting)

A
  1. Record mass of each cylinder then put 1 in each tube
  2. Wait 45 mins then remove cylinders from their tubes, blotting them with filter paper
  3. Reweigh each cylinder + work out mass change
