What is the treatment for mild acne vulgaris?
Topical retinoid- Tretinoin

What is the treatment for moderate acne?
Same as mild but add topical antibiotic

Laser treatment

Basal cell carcinoma
What is basal cell carcinoma?
A slow growing cancer of the epidermal keratinocytes
What is a complication of basal cell carcinomas?
Local tissue destruction
What is squamous cell carcinoma?
A squamous cell tumour that invades the dermis
Slow growing and appears in sun damaged areas like the face, hand and trunk
How do squamous cell present?
Scaly and crusty
ill defined edges
may ulcerate
What are the signs of malignant melanoma?
Asymetrical shape Border irregular Colour irregular Diameter> 5cm Evolution/change of lesion
What type of hypersensitivity is contact dermatitis?
