- Retinoids: comedolytic, antiinflammatory
- Tretinoin (Retin-A): Photosensitivity, skin irritation
- Topical ABX
- Macrolides: Clindamycin, erythromycin
- Systemic ABX

- Benzoyl peroxide
- Often prescribed with systemic or topical ABX
- Isotretinoin (systemic retinoid)
- female must be on 2 contraceptives if of childbearing age
- Spironolactone (Aldactone)

- Moisturizers with cover overnight
- small exposures to direct sunlight
- OTC hydrocortisone, Coal tar shampoo
