Not to pick at spots

Reduce sugar in diet

Don’t wash >2 times daily and use soap free

Warn initial therapy may take up to 8 weeks to work

A

Causes:

  • genetic
  • Stress
  • Step infection (guttate)
  • Scarring (Keobner)
  • Drugs (NSAIDs, lithium, beta blockers)
  • Pregnancy
Investigations: 
- LFTs 
- HbA1c 
- Lipids

- BP 

Management:

  • topical steroids + vitamin D analogues (Dovobet or Enstilar)
  • coal tar

2nd line:

  • UVB
  • PUVA
  • Methotrexate
  • Ciclosporin

3rd line:
- Ustekinumab
