What might constitute a ‘simple repair’? How is this done?

A

Midline fracture of complete denture / fractured into 3 large pieces that can all be located

If ca be located together, disinfect and send to lab for them to repair

How might denture be repaired if piece of denture missing? E.g. loss of flange

A

Impression taken with denture in mouth
- send to lab
- lab repair with new impression

How repair denture if acrylic tooth lost from denutre?

A
  • self cure acrylic to rebond if tooth is accounted for
  • if tooth not accounted for then shade and mould must be matched to remaining teeth and placed with acrylic
