What is the purpose of a periodontal ligament?
It helps hold tooth in socket and works as a cushion
Difference between anatomical and clinical crown?
Anatomical - after extraction, portion of the tooth covered with enamel
Clinical - portion of the tooth that’s visible in the mouth
Purpose of primary dentition?
- Chewing and biting
- Acts as an aid in speech
- Serves as a guide for developing permanent teeth
- Used as a defense
What is the difference between bifurcation and trifurcation roots?
Bi - 2 roots mand
Tri - 3 roots max
