Density Flashcards

1
Q

What is Density?

A

Describes how much mass is packed into the space (volume) of an object. It tells you how dense or compact the object is. The more mass in a smaller space, the denser it is.

Q

In what units is Density measured?

A

Density is usually measured in
g/mL (grams / milliliter) or g/cm3 (grams/cubic centimeter)

Grams is a unit of mass
mL is a unit of volume
cm3 is a unit of volume as well

AKA… mass/volume
