Q

What are Subscripts?

A

If there is more than one atom, it is shown as a SUBSCRIPT

The subscript only applies to the element before it.

Q

What are Coefficients?

A

A COEFFICIENT (big number) shows the number of complete compounds that there are

The coefficient number applies to EVERY element in the compound.

Summarize Chemical Formulas

A

Each element is represented by it’s SYMBOL
1 Capital letter PER symbol
