Peru and Ecuador engaged in armed conflict when both were liberal regimes - war came within 1-3 years after the establishment of a liberal regime
Finland allied with axis powers in ww2
Guetamala, Nicuragua and Indonesia were all democratic regimes but after they accepted communist arms, the replacement regimes were less democratic
Cuna Indians had elected indian chiefs who could be impeached at any time. SPain Columbia and Panama all tried to subjugate them
