What is Deindividuation
A psychological state in which the individual loses their personal identity in a large group of people.
What is Anonymity
People are not able to be identified, this reduces concerns about others judging your behaviour.
What is suggestibility ?
Large crowds create a sense that there are safety in numbers. This means people are willing to take more risks than normal.
What is contagin
Conformity and NSI leads to a crowd mentality. Means people adopt group behaviours when one aggressive act is carried out it is imitated bu others amongst the crowd
What is ketteling ?
Police tactic where police face a mob and take out individuals who are acting most aggressive, this may change behaviour of individuals in mob as they crowds behaviour is based on each other (role models).
