Oral rehydration therapy (ORT), when properly administered, is as effective as intravenous (IV) rehydration in mild to moderate Dehyd. Offer oral electrolyte solution, 1 mL/kg for mild dehydration and 2 mL/kg for moderate dehydration, every 5 minutes.
