A

A

Designated Operational Coverage

The term is used to refer to the combination of the designated operational range and the designated operational height. DOC is that volume of airspace needed operationally in order to provide a particular service and within which the facility is afforded Frequency protection.

This term is usually associated with a Frequency assignment to denote the volume of airspace in which it may be used.
