What are EOBTs?
Estimated off blocks time
Aircraft must be off blocks within -15mins or +15mins of this time.
Can a time on a flight plan be changed?
To a later time it can by a DELAY message
Earlier not possible, flight plan would have to be cancelled and refiled
What is a CTOT?
Calculated take off time
May be issued to comply with ATFM slots
- If a flight has a CTOT that cannot be met, then the AO shall send a DEL message to IFPS with the new EOBT of the flight. This may trigger a revised CTOT.
- If a flight has a CTOT with some delay and the AO is aware that the original EOBT cannot be met but the existing CTOT is acceptable, then a message shall be sent to IFPS with the new EOBT of the flight. However, in order to avoid triggering a new CTOT, the following formula must be used= take the current CTOT minus the taxi time, minus 10minutes, the new EOBT must not be after this time.
- If a flight has had a CTOT and now receives a slot cancellation message but the original EOBT cannot be met then the AO shall communicate the new EOBT by use of a DEL message. ATC/ATFM will now have the true EOBT of the flight.
How is the route entered on a flight plan?
If a deep Aerodrome is connected to the ATS route structure the designator of the first ATS route
Or
If a departure aerodrome is not connected then DCT followed by the point of joining.
Then
Each point at which either a change of speed and or level or a change of ATS route is planned or a change of flight rules is planned which must be detailed.
How are levels entered on a flight plan?
N= knots, expressed in 4 digits e.g. N0485 K= kmh, expressed in 4 digits eg K0830 M= Mach no. To nearest hundredths of unit Mach in 3 digits e.g. M082
How are levels entered on a flight plan?
F= Flight level F085 A= Altitude A045 (hundreds of feet) S= Metric level in tens of metres S1130
What are the flight rule codes on a flight plan?
I= IFR V= VFR Y= flight initially under IFR followed by one or more changes of rules Z= flight initially under VFR followed by one or more changes of rules
