A

What is a break-out procedure?

A

A procedure initiated on instruction from a Precision Runway Monitor Controller upon which a pilot is required to discontinue an ILS approach and immediately commence a turn of approximately 90 degrees from the ILS course, climbing (or descending) as instructed by ATC, in response to an aircraft deviating from the adjacent ILS course.
