doctoral degree in psychology
A degree received from a program that is accredited by the APA or CPA, or is designated by the National Register
– or –
if outside North America, completed before 1981 (US) or 1988 (Canada), or no longer exists, meets the National Register’s criteria.
The Board may also consider up to 9 postdoctoral semester hours in its determination of degree.
practice psychology
To provide any person any service for compensation applying psychological principles, methods, or procedures (which do not amount to practice of medicine) for understanding, predicting, or influencing behavior.
This definition includes specifically mentioned aspects of clinical practice, research, and testing, as well as biofeedback instruments that do not pierce the skin.

a 2 year period from April 1 to March 31 during which minimum number of CE hours must be completed for license renewal
client
an individual, couple, family, group, business, agency, school, organization, or association to which the psychologist provides or has provided professional services
multiple relationship
“a relationship in which an individual is concurrently participating in two or more roles with another”
public statement
“any oral, printed, or electronic communication or announcement made by or on behalf of a psychologist or applicant, directed to another individual or group”
sexual intimacies
any act engaged in with or without clothing involving:
- genital contact
- nongenital contact with hips, loin, thigh, buttocks, or breasts
- exposure or observation of genitals or nude portions of breasts, buttocks, or genitals
- other behaviors engaged in for purpose of sexual arousal or gratification
