The evaluation of an assessment; will identify yhe gaps where MMIS does not contribute to the effectives & efficient management of current supply chain.
Gap Analysis
- Stand alone software package
- But can come with ERP system
- Creates data records that are important to other information systems

Software package that combines business processes & data in a uniform information system
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

3 Methods of receiving
Blind, Open, Statistical
Uses multiple points of physical delivery of products. Physical delivery is either at near end-use areas. More difficult to implement & control. More conductive to stockless inventory system
Decentralized
Uses a single point of physical delivery of products. Easier to implement & control. Works well with a central storage inventory system. Central liaison between customers & suppliers.
Centralized
Uses single point of delivery for main facility but direct delivery to outlying sites. Seen in organizations with expensive physical networks or outpatient facilities. Becoming more common.
Hybrid
Maximum Supply Level
= Minimum level + Order Qty
Minimum Supply Level
= Safety Stock + Lead-time

Fill Rate
Calculation of supply demand from the time it takes to recognize a need & place an order, to the time an order is received & ready for distribution

Also know as the stock-out ratio or warehouse denial %
