Q
What day is on the 21 March and why do we celebrate it?
A
It is South African human rights day and before 1994 it was known as Sharpville day. Today South Africans celebrate it to commemorate the 69 people who were killed and 180 who were wounded when police opened fire on the people who campaigned to end pass books which was a document to prove to enter a white area and failure to produce this book on demand was a punishable offense in the 1960s .
