This Vibrio species is found in shellfish and sea water. Causes bacteremia, wound infections, cellulitis

The species is the causative agent of contagious conjunctivitis called pink eye
H.influenza biotype aegyptius
This genus infects amphibians, reptiles, and fish. Straight sided GNB. Ferments glucose. Beta-hemolytic. Oxidase positive
Aeromonas spp.
Small GN coccobacilli. Facultative anaerobe. Humans usually obtain infection through an animal bite, scratches or shared food
Pastuerella spp.
Small GN coccobacilli in singles or pairs. Colonies are small, shiny, round and mercury silver in color, resembling mercury droplets. Goes well on special media: BORDET GENGOU and REGAN LOWE . Must be incubated for seven days at 35 to 37°C
Bordetella spp.
Spiral shaped GNB with simple monopolar flagella. Causes gastric ulcers and carcinoma.
Helicobacter spp.
Non fermentive GNB (plump). Oxidase negative.causes opportunistic infections.
Acinetobacter spp.
Humans usually are infected w this genus via human bites or fist fights
Eikenella spp.
This stage of the whooping cough is the recovery stage
Convalescent
The stage of whooping cough resembles a cold; is communicable
Catarrhal
This stage of whooping cough is marked by sudden attacks of severe repetitive coughing with a whooping sound
Paroxysmal
This Vibrio spp is found in shellfish and sea water. Causes gastroenteritis, would infections, bacteremia
V. parahemolyticus
Slender pleomorphic GNB. First recognized after an epidemic of pneumonia in 1976. Disease transmission is associated with surface and potable water. Species in this gene is cause a Legionnaires disease and Pontiac fever. Colonies have a cut glass appearance
