What was the Industrial Revolution?
The Industrial Revolution was a period from the late 1700’s to the early 1900’s where mechanization and mass production factories are becoming much more common. This would also lead to a change in society.
When was the Industrial Revolution?
2 Stages, #1: 1770-1870. #2: 1870-1914
Where was the Industrial Revolution?
Most prominently in Great Brittan. They had many natural resources and spare space to build factories.
What was child labor?
Child labor was were businesses would use children as workers to do physically hard jobs for a fraction of the cost of adult workers. To the business owners, child labor was cheap labor, but to the children and the parents, child labor is a tragic necessity as without it, families would possibly die of starvation from lack of money.
How did child labor affect the economy?
Child labor made it so that many products could be mass produced and therefore gave the market a boost and helped the economy grow, but it took a toll on the next generation, and would also affect their lives later in life.
What were some inventions of the Industrial Revolution?
The seed drill, the horse hoe, the steam engine, the steamboat, the steam powered train and much more.
