King Louis XVI was the king during the time of the French Revolution. He was not very smart and often listened to Queen Marie Antoinette over his professional advisers. He would get France into economic debt, and then he would call on the 3 Estates to decide what to do. This would start the French Revolution, and later he would be found guilty of high treason and executed.

Marie Antoinette was the queen of France during the French Revolution. She was given many luxuries like travels and servants, as well as expensive gifts.
What was the Jacobins?
The Jacobins was a political group during the French Revolution where they thought that the French people should just overthrow the king and kill them. They were led by Maximilien Robespierre and they were responsible for the Reign of Terror.
Who was Maximilien Robespierre?
Maximilien Robespierre lived in during the French Revolution and was basically the leader of the Jacobins. He was the main force in creating the Reign of Terror, but this Reign would eventually kill himself and therefore end the Reign of Terror.
What was the Reign of Terror?
The Reign of Terror started September 5, 1793 and ended July 27, 1794. The Reign of Terror was a period in the French Revolution when the Jacobins, unofficially controlled by Maximilien Robespierre, ruled over France. During the Reign of Terror, anyone who opposed the revolution would be executed by guillotine without judgement.

Napoleon Bonaparte was a very famous military general who served for France during the French Revolution. This tactical genius was successful in many battles, and he would later become Emperor of France.
