noun - doing or saying the same thing many times (e.g. Children used to learn by repetition.)
favourable
adj - a favourable report, opinion, or reaction shows that you think that you agree with them (e.g.We have had a favourable response to the plan so far.)
unfavourable
adj - bad/negative / unfavourable conditions, situations etc are not good (e.g.We have to be prepared for an unfavourable outcome.)
trait
noun - formal a particular quality in someone’s character (e.g.It’s a human trait to joke about subjects that make us uncomfortable.)
prejudice
noun - an unreasonable dislike and distrust of people who are different from you because of their race, sex, religion (e.g. He had to battle against prejudice to get a job.)
adjust
verb - adapt / to change something slightly, especially to make it more correct, effective, or suitable (e.g. It took a few seconds for her eyes to adjust to the darkness.)
indirect
adj - not directly caused by something OPP direct (e.g. Losing weight is an indirect result of smoking cigarettes.)
readiness
noun - willingness or a state of being prepared for something (e.g.Both sides expressed their readiness to begin peace talks.)
prospect
noun - the possibility that something good might happen in the future (e.g. There’s not much prospect that this war will be over soon.)
up-to-date
adj - modern or fashionable / including all the latest information OPP out-of-date (e.g. They have access to up-to-date information through a computer database.)
